This exhibition showcases the multifaceted work of Gina Klaber Thusek, an artist whose creative energy and versatility are truly remarkable. Her works in fashion, sculpture, drawing, and photography reflect a constant search for artistic expression and personal identity. Gina has dedicated herself to themes such as creativity, femininity, and self-realization as an accomplished artist. Her ongoing commitment to her legacy offers new perspectives on creativity, identity, and the art of living.

THE PROCESS

1- The ARCHIVE

We first met in Meran, Italy, in the Archive of Palais Mamming Museum, where we discovered the heritage of Gina Klaber Thusek. We engaged in three groups to analyse the material left from the artist: diaries, photographies, sculptures, drawings. We selected the most relevant ones and we documented everything through a camera.

2- Workshop

The next three weeks, until the end of October, were aimed to reflect to better understand "Gina", and at the same time we started three workshop activities: digital animation workshop with Adobe After Effects and Cavalry, Typography workshop, with paper, glue and scissors and a concept poster workshop, in which each of us contributed to develop a poster idea for Gina exhibition

3- Concept

"Understanding Gina" was the first concept workshop, in which we were introduced to the concept of the modern subject related to Gina. In groups we focused on technics of self in Gina: Sculpture, Photography, Writing, Body. The aim of this workshop was to develop a concept for the exhibition.

4- Subgroups

From the end of October, we elected four subgroups each with a different task for the exhibition and starting the working group design phase. Each group engaged in the work until the 3rd of December, when we presented our design ideas to our client, the Museum.

I was in the exhibition group, and we designed the flow and spatial aspects of the exhibition.
